If you've had a look around and think I might be the right fit for your day I would love to hear from you! Below I have outlined the process process from starting out right through to wedding day delivey.
Initial contact
Once you have confirmed your wedding venue and date get in touch over email or use the contact form. Initially I can check availability for your day and get back to you with a few questions about your day. This gives me an idea of the style of wedding your planning along with any initial ideas you have had for the design and finish, guest numbers/number of tiers and your budget. I can give you an approximate guide price based on these initial ideas. If you are happy with this initial guide price and would like to secure your date with me this can be done with a £100 booking fee.
Design consultation
At around 6-9 months before your wedding date, we can then arrange a deign consultation to finalise the design for the cake and sample some cake flavours. This can be done either in person or over zoom. If meeting over zoom, I would arrange a postal sample box for you to try at home. Consultations are run over the winter months when weddings are quieter, and the weather is cooler for postal samples. At the consultation meeting we will discuss everything for the wedding day form the styling and florals to any ideas you have had along with the differnt cake finishes you could have. You will leave the consultation with your box of samples to take home and try. Following on from the consultation I will email over all of the details for the cake design for you to approve.
Leading upto the wedding date
Around six weeks before the wedding date I would check in with you to confirm all of the final timings and details for the day. This would also be when your final invoice is due. Once everything is confirmed I can liaise with your other suppliers if needed regarding delivery and set up.
Delivery and set up
On the morning of the wedding, I would deliver and set up the wedding cake at the venue for you to enjoy on your big day!
FAQ'S
#1 Can I order a sample box before securing my wedding date?
If youd like to order a sample box before securing your date, then sample boxes can be purchased done via the shop. This service is only available through the winter months when its cooler and the samples can safely be posted.
#2 How many people can I bring to my consultation?
I would usually advise for the couple to attend the consultation alone.
#3 How soon should I book my wedding cake?
As soon as you have booked your venue it's good to start looking for the suppliers you would like to secure for your big day. The sooner you can reserve your dates the easier you will find the planning going forwards. Busier summer months can often book up upto two years in advance.
